World Wild West brings the internet to a flesh-space near you! We make new music from existing YouTube videos, sing absurdist Nederhop, tell a magical-girl story for the 21st century, take the audience through a guided meditation in which Elon Musk puts a chip in your head and close with a mesmerizing rollercoaster of forgotten internet hits with triple-projected visuals. What brings all these performances together is not only their connection to the internet, but also that they all strive – in a way typical of our favourite online content – to make you dance, laugh and cry at the same time. Think of it as a joyous mashup of the funny, quirky side of the web, a night where the ‘net is once again by and for everyone.

ARDEMAR creates new compositions on-the-fly by simply playing multiple YouTube videos simultaneously. The fact that you can see all the weird things he types into YouTube’s search bar makes his performance very funny and its musicality even more jaw-dropping.

Internet Ugly is, God forbid, a YouTuber. But within their ironic and sardonic videos they hide messages about community building and a healthy relationship with the internet. bok dida is a Dutch-Croatian rap duo made up of long-time friends Pirko and Giuseppe. Together, they blend the absurdist Nederhop of groups like De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig with everything from krautrock to hyperpop, Eurodance and Balkan music.

In een landschap waarin de ticket- en bierprijzen sneller stijgen dan de zeespiegel, het geld op je bankrekening sneller kwijt is dan je vrienden om half 4 s‘nachts en de WC’s exponentieel goorder worden, slaan Klokpack6ix en EKKO de handen ineen voor een alternatief. Voor alle Lowlands-missers, achter-het-net-vissers en financieel gezonde beslissers presenteren we: Laagland.
Voor slechts €5,50 (!) presenteert Klokpack6ix het budget-festival-alternatief van Utrecht. Een avond vol gitaargeweld, EDM drops, worstenbroodjes, eendagsvrienden en linksvoor verzamelen. Een volwaardig popfestival voor een fractie van de prijs, en je hoeft niet eens op de camping te slapen!
De avond bestaat uit een concert- en nachtprogramma. Van 21:30 tot 23:00 zijn er twee livebands: de onversneden electropunk van Burger Service en de theatrale betogen van Vlaamse post-rockers Kaat van Stralen. Daarna volgt een nachtprogramma met DJ sets van Utrecht’s own Chananja en de jongens van 030 Radio (33cl & Rhubarb); een multimedia rapshow van Balkan baby Pirko; en een closing set van pop-edit connoisseur Tappie.
Maak dus die groepsapp voor onflatterend beeldmateriaal alvast aan, vraag voor de sfeer nog even of iemand een luchtbed-pomp te leen heeft en scoor dat ticket voor Laagland, 17 augustus in EKKO.
Verliefd op de Kermis is een avondvullend programma van kunstcollectief Klokpack6ix dat zich richt op het samenbrengen van kunst, fashion en muziek, met hyperpop in het bijzonder. Verwacht een sensory overload aan luide beats, lieve synths, felle kleuren, mooie kleren, speelse humor en levendig decor waar geen kermis of clubnacht tegenop kan! We beginnen de avond met een optreden van hyperpopartiest Claar. Verwacht nummers vol thema’s zoals seks, feminisme, liefde, mentale strijd en geluk, waar de meesten van ons zich mee kunnen identificeren. Gevolgd door de trap, pop and hyperpop mix van Prijs, met daarna clubduo KEY/GEN die met hun experimentele sound de zaal overnemen. De avond wordt afgesloten met dj-sets van Y4k4r1 en DJ Safke.
